January 27, 2026The Ministry of Justice today launched its first Wellness Wednesday for 2026, with Ministry staff across Fiji taking part in coordinated clean-ups and physical activity sessions aimed at promoting good health, teamwork, and environmental responsibility.
Teams from all Ministry offices โ including Headquarters at Suvavou House, the Registrar of Titles, Registrar of Companies, Nasinu, Labasa, Levuka, the Western Division and other satellite locations โ were mobilised to clean up their office surroundings and nearby public spaces.
Following the clean-up, staff engaged in various sports and outdoor games, encouraging movement, stress relief, and social connection among colleagues.
Permanent Secretary for Justice Ms. Selina Kuruleca led the charge to ensure that public service extends beyond desks and meetings and can start with simple acts that strengthen community wellbeing.
This Wellness Wednesday is a commitment to a healthier workforce and a cleaner Fiji. Non-communicable diseases continue to be a concern nationwide, especially among working Fijians. Getting the staff active, outside, and contributing to their environment is one of the ways to support their wellbeing and productivity.
The Ministry is committed to embedding Wellness Wednesdays as part of its workplace culture throughout 2026, fostering healthier habits, reducing work-related stress, and encouraging team cohesion across departments.
