
National Anti-Money Laundering Council of Fiji Reaffirms Prohibition on Virtual Asset Service Providers
September 10, 2025UPDATE ON JUSTICES OF THE PEACE ALLOWANCE
The Ministry of Justice wishes to advise all Justices of the Peace (JPs) that the processing of allowances has commenced. A number of JPs have already begun receiving their payments.
For those who have not yet received their allowance, the Ministry encourages you to ensure that all required documentation be submitted in full to facilitate prompt processing and payment.
Non-civil servant JPs are reminded to present the following documents at your nearest Ministry of Justice office:
· Latest bank statement in the JPs name
· Joint Card or TIN Letter
· Valid Voter Identification Card or Driver’s Licence
· Monthly logbook return
Civil servant JPs are required to submit a signed support letter and or statutory declaration from your respective Permanent Secretaries to begin the verification and consideration for processing of your JP allowance.
The Ministry of Justice appreciates the continued service of all Justices of the Peace across the country and remains committed to ensuring that allowances are processed efficiently once all necessary documents have been received.
